For a number of years, Nina Lim has been at the centre of London’s alternative music scene. Having studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama she established working relationships as a violinist with Black Country, New Road, Jockstrap, Geordie Greep and others. More broadly she has arranged strings and performed with more alternative pop musicians, such as Holly Humberstone, JADE, Little Simz and Anne Marie.

Through years of collaboration, touring, and session work, Ninush has developed her craft right on the boundaries between pop and alternative. On her debut EP The Flowers I See You In, Ninush offers something emotionally resonant, rich in character and playfully kaleidoscopic.

Made in close collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Tsang (Bon Iver, Griffy, Chloe Qisha), the pair work freely and without constraint.

Ninush’s label, The Bird Records is a new independent label founded by musician Charlie Wayne (Black Country, New Road) and Mita De (Brownswood, Ninja Tune, Polydor). With a focus on artist development, close collaboration, and championing both the UK and international alternative music, The Bird aims to provide a base and platform to launch new artists with creative, interesting and fun releases.
